The first light of the morning sun had just broke the horizon when Fluttershy woke. She made her way from the bedroom to see that while most of her critters were up, Angel and Jade were still sleeping. Carefully Fluttershy tiptoed her way outside and cared for her animals; she put food out, gave fresh water, and made sure their pens were all clean.
Meanwhile, Angel had woken up and removed the corks from his ears only to hear Jade's snore. Annoyed and tired from bad sleep, Angel hopped over and began trying to wake Jade up by pushing her head around. He booped her nose, shook her cheek, and pushed on her as hard as he could but none of it worked.
Jade eventually rolled over and Angel continued trying to wake her, he pushed on her back repeatedly. Jade rolled over again, this time sending and arm and leg over the side of the basket. Angel jumped out of the way of Jade's hand but wound up jumping right into Jade's leg.
Angel decided to give up at this point, he returned to his bed and sat there waiting for Fluttershy's return. When Fluttershy did come back inside, she saw him looking glum and went over. She said, "You look tired, didn't you sleep well?" but Angel didn't respond, he just stared in a sleepy manner.
"Okay, I'll bring you breakfast soon. I'm going to go wake Jade" said Fluttershy. She carefully walked over to Jade's basket and put a hoof on the edge of the basket, she gently spoke, "Jade, it's time to get up." Almost immediately Jade stirred, she slowly sat up with a yawn, causing Angel to flop to the floor from the sight of it.
Breakfast was served to everyone, Fluttershy and Jade had oatmeal while the rest had feed or vegetables. Shortly after this, there was a knock on the door, Fluttershy answered quickly and Jade walked up quietly to watch. Rarity was standing there with a smile on her face.
Immediately Fluttershy gasped and remorsefully said, "Oh my goodness, I forgot about our appointment, with Jade showing up and everything..."
Rarity was surprised at the sudden outburst, "It's no problem at all, we all get busy sometimes. Speaking of Jade, did she wind up coming back here? I did begin to wonder what Twilight came up with for her living situation. So, shall we go?"
"What about Jade?" asked Fluttershy.
"We'll take her with us of course," said Rarity, "She's sure to enjoy a nice day at the spa."
Taking in the idea and that Jade's a girl, "Oh, okay. I'll go get her and we'll be right out." Fluttershy turned and there was Jade, watching them with an interested stare. Fluttershy squeeked and then said, "I didn't hear you come over sweetie, would you like to go with us?"
Jade forwardly asked, "Where are you going?"
"To the spa," answered Fluttershy.
"What's a spa?" asked Jade.
Rarity stepped inside and spoke, "You don't know about spas? I say, you poor dragons are so deprived at times. It would make sense though, so many dragons living off along in lifestyles that are unbefitting a proper lady. No offense," she paused momentarily before continuing, "but I'm sure you'll love the experience."
Confusedly, Jade asked, "What experience?"
"You'll see," said Rarity in a satisfied manner. She led the trio out of Fluttershy's cottage and to the Spa.
When the group entered the spa, Rarity calmly walked up to the counter and spoke to the ponies, "Girls, we have a special case on our hooves. This poor little thing has never been to a spa. I want you to give her your finest work, from top to bottom, and make her feel reborn."
"But she's just a baby dragon" interjected Fluttershy.
Rarity continued, "And the usual for Fluttershy and I."
Hours passed for the trio in there, Jade getting an extensive treatment. Jade enjoyed her experience, the work on her left her very relaxed and refreshed, stark in contrast to how she felt when she first exited the forest. Rarity was all too excited to ask her once they were outside, "How did you enjoy your first time at the spa?"
Jade thought for a moment. She didn't like how long it took, but it did feel good. She gave up trying to figure out something to say and spouted, "I like how soft my scales feel."
"You smell lovely too, not at all like those ruffians from the dragon migration" added Rarity in a pleased tone that turned into displeasure at the thought of Garble and his friends.
Jade took note of the comment. Was she turning into a prissy pony? Was she enjoying it? No, not her... right?
Rarity saw the look on Jade's face and became concerned, "Is everything alright?"
Jade dropped the thought and answered, "Yeah, sure."
Rarity smiled, "Okay then, how about we return to the boutique for lunch?"
Fluttershy thought the idea was good and asked, "Would you like that, Jade?" The reply was a vigorous nod from Jade as she remembered the large platter of gems from the previous day.
